Winter Shooting Jacket: The 6OL Heated Hunting Revolution

Hillman's 6OL winter shooting jacket delivers eight breakthrough innovations redefining cold-weather performance when unpredictable weather threatens your hunting experience. Designed specifically for hunters facing extreme conditions, this product description explores how advanced membranes, Matrix insulation, graphene lining, and six-level thermoregulation create the warmest heated coat for shooters demanding both heritage style and cutting-edge capability.

Revolutionary Breakthroughs That Transform Cold Weather Hunting

The 6OL introduces technologies changing what's possible in shooting clothing. Dryhunt handles exceptional moisture escape through genuine air permeability. Matrix insulation weighs just 1.9 ounces whilst delivering 0.0087 W/mK thermal conductivity, outperforming aerogel in practice. The graphene lining redistributes body heat evenly. Thermovent's six-level system manages moisture through breathable membrane, Aerospacer3D mesh, and underarm pit zips, creating protection from 20 to minus 25 degrees Celsius.

Subzero Performance Architecture

The 6OL addresses winter challenges head-on. Whether enduring grey skies at dawn, brown terrain beneath fresh snow, or sitting through bitter wind and changing conditions, this shooting jacket maintains warmth without bulk whilst protecting you from the elements. Zonal merino fleece insulation works with graphene lining, preventing heat loss. Compatible with Hillman's Heatmax7 heating system for arctic conditions.

Tactical Carrying Ecosystem with Cluster Integration

Insulated shooting jacket showing Cluster system with chest ammunition and GPS pockets

The Cluster system revolutionises gear management, reaching ammunition, GPS devices, and radios without fumbling. Sleeve pockets incorporate integrated multi-ammo cartridge holders. Warm chest pockets use magnetic closures for silent, glove operation.

Five-Layer Hydrostatic Defence System

The 6OL hunting jacket establishes waterproof standards through five layers. Level one features a Dryhunt nanomembrane with an 11,000mm hydrostatic head rating. Level two applies eco-friendly DWR C0 treatment. Level three uses breathable seam sealing. Level four incorporates YKK AquaGuard zippers. Level five adds the OptiSight6 hood with six adjustment points, weighing under 50 grams.

ERGO Universal Fit System and Anatomical Engineering

The ERGO pattern system delivers a tailored fit for men, women, and youth without separate templates. Two-way stretch textile technology supports a natural range, enhanced by gusseted underarms preventing lift whilst offering freedom throughout your shooting positions. Seamless shoulder yoke construction eliminates pressure points. Available in ranger green and colours suiting tweed accessories and camouflage patterns, this men's shooting jacket adapts whilst maintaining performance.

Durasuede Acoustic Dampening Technology

Waterfowl hunting jacket Cluster ammunition system and magnetic chest pocket details

The 6OL's Durasuede fabric balances durability, silence, and stretch. Its brushed woven surface mimics deer suede, creating one of the quietest insulated jackets available whilst maintaining toughness for thorny underbrush. Our hunting winter jacket eliminates typical compromises between quiet movement and protective durability. The suede-like texture reduces noise during stalking whilst resisting thorns for reliable use season after season. This innovation belongs in a full collection of serious hunting gear.

Active Vapour Management Through Moisture Transport

Most waterproof jackets sacrifice breathability for protection. Our winter hunting jacket solves this through breathable fabrics working in harmony. The Dryhunt membrane allows direct air and moisture permeability. The Aerospacer3D mesh creates air-filled cavities that resist flattening. The pump effect generates air circulation, allowing moisture to evaporate. The magnetic wind flap balances protection with ventilation.

Multi-Discipline Versatility Beyond Hunting

This shooting coat performs beyond single-purpose limitations. Whilst designed for hunting with a Cluster ammunition system, quiet Durasuede fabric, and a game bag, Hillman's hunting jacket excels across fishing under blue skies, trekking through orange dawn light, walking, and outdoor pursuits. Pair with jumpers or fleece jackets as base layers and accessories.

Weather-Sealed Functionality for All Conditions

The 6OL shooting jacket maintains waterproof shooting capability through intelligent design. The two-way front zipper lets you adjust ventilation without compromising protection. Welded seams stop water infiltration completely. The OptiSight6 hood maintains peripheral vision whilst blocking wind. Premium YKK AquaGuard zippers ensure equipment stays dry.

The Matrix Revolution in Closed-Cell Nano Insulation

Matrix insulation represents genuine innovation with 0.0087 W/mK thermal conductivity, outperforming aerogel. This closed-cell nanotechnology measures just 0.9mm thick whilst delivering reliable warmth to minus 20 degrees Celsius. Unlike traditional insulated jackets using bulky fills, Matrix maintains breathability through its nano-cell structure and actively supports your body's thermoregulation. The material features antibacterial properties and stretch characteristics. It's eco-friendly, passing EU REACH SVHC tests.

Comprehensive Sizing Matrix for Every Body Type

The 6OL's extensive range accommodates all body types through comprehensive sizing from youth to larger frames. The ERGO anatomical pattern ensures a perfect fit across this wide selection. For heavy layering in arctic conditions, simply size up one. Available in ranger green and stylish camo patterns, working with traditional shooting clothing aesthetics, whether you prefer classic British style with contemporary looks.

Silent, Durable and Stretch - Now All in One

Designed to overcome the challenge of creating a waterproof shell that balances durability and quietness. Durability demands a high-density woven structure, similar to canvas, while noise reduction benefits from a softer, low-density design like fleece. To achieve this balance, the fabric features a brushed woven surface that mimics deer suede leather, providing a premium feel while significantly reducing noise during movement. This innovative shell is almost noiseless, excelling in thorny underbrush and tough terrains while offering durability, protection, and long-lasting performance in the toughest conditions.

Comparison of three fabric types: Woven Cordura + Membrane (noisy, thorn-proof), Woven Durasuede + Dryhunt (durable, noise reducing, stretchy), and Knitted Fleece + Membrane (weak, quiet). Each has ratings for silent level and thorn proof.

Any coated or membrane-bonded fabric generates some level of noise. Knitted fleece-like fabrics are the quietest but the least durable, while woven Cordura-like fabrics are the strongest but also the noisiest.

Hillman's Durasuede is a breakthrough fabric that combines unmatched durability from its woven construction, exceptional noise reduction from its brushed acoustic surface, and superior comfort thanks to its stretch design. Backed by 20 years of textile expertise, we are proud to present the first ultimate hunting fabric, offering an unprecedented balance of durability, noise reduction, and comfort-all in one.
