I have about 20 high end boots, my friend highly recommended these and I am glad I bought them… true to size, easy to put on and take off. Already tested in -10c in Canada and keep feet at a good temp… not too hot and very comfortable
I highly recommend these boots

— Kourosh B.

One of the best boots I have ever purchased, It's lightweight, warm and provides good support on rocky and slippery ground.

WARRANTY & CARE

Designed to last, Hillman boots deliver durability and comfort when used properly.

We offer a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing and material defects, including craftsmanship and materials. The warranty excludes damage caused by improper use, accidents, normal wear and tear, or use on non-natural terrains. [Read the full warranty conditions here.]

Care Instructions

Keep your Hillman boots performing at their best with proper care:

  • Use mink oil or waterproof leather wax to preserve the leather.
  • Avoid machine washing; let your boots air dry naturally.

These boots are designed for rugged outdoor adventures, excelling in hunting and nature-based activities. Using them on abrasive surfaces like asphalt or concrete can affect their durability. For optimal longevity, we recommend sticking to their intended purpose and avoiding everyday wear. The waterproofing warranty is valid for six months under regular outdoor use. Wear and tear or damage from misuse may void the warranty. Take care of your boots, and they’ll take care of you in the great outdoors.

Dryhunt® nanomembrane

Dryhunt® has unmatched breathability, allowing the moisture from your feet to be transported outside the boots much faster and efficiently. The nanoporous air-permeable technology performs hundreds of times better than the moisture vapor transmission technology. Other hunting boots can leave you with damp, sticky feet by the end of the day, but Dryhunt® provides the best balance of breathability and waterproofness.

Unmatched Breathability

The Dryhunt® nanoporous waterproof membrane is not just hundreds of times more breathable than GTX—it surpasses any leading membrane worldwide. Acting as a hydrophobic shield, it blocks external water while expelling moisture through nanosized pores with every step. Its unmatched efficiency, breathability, and thermoregulation deliver exceptional comfort and a balanced microclimate in both warm and Arctic conditions. Plus, it’s 100% PFAS-free and eco-friendly.

3-Fold Waterproof Efficiency Upgrade

The conventional benchmark waterproof tests at 1.6 inches (4 cm) above the boot's board. Hillman significantly surpasses this norm maintaining integrity even when boots are submerged in water up to 5 inches (12 cm) deep.

Exceeding the standard by over threefold with hillman boots you can navigate deeper muddy terrain, marshes, and riverbanks without a drop seeping in.

Insulation Evolution

16 times lighter, 30% less bulk and 1800% more efficient our cutting-edge double-layer insulation technology combines Aerogel and Matrix®, delivering unmatched thermal performance and comfort. This innovative system ensures maximum efficiency in extreme cold, while maintaining a cooling effect in warmer conditions. With only 7.5 grams of Matrix and 10 grams Aerogel per boot our insulation is the lightest and most effective ever created.

Matrix® Next-Generation Thermal Efficiency

Matrix® redefines insulation with its ultra-lightweight design and exceptional thermal conductivity properties. At just 0.13 oz./ft² (40 g./m²), it provides the highest efficiency ever achieved in an insulation material, approaching a vacuum's thermal conductivity and insulation performance. Less than 1 mm thick, when paired with Aerogel, Matrix improves its thermal efficiency by 50%, offering unmatched warmth, flexibility, and adaptability in cold and warm environments.

The Power of Aerogel - From NASA to You

Aerogel was first developed and engineered by NASA and utilized as insulation in space suits and aircraft. It pairs perfectly with Matrix insulation, which offers unparalleled lightweight efficiency in thermal conductivity. Aerogel improves its effects by regulating radiant heat transfer and providing bidirectional insulation features. Weighing only 0.16 oz./ft² (50 g./m²), Aerogel enhances the synergy, guaranteeing that your feet remain warm in severe cold while feeling comfortable in warm conditions.

Comparison chart of two boots: ALPHA 2.0 Aerogel & Matrix vs. Boots with 800g insulation. The chart shows differences in insulation weight, thickness, thermal resistance, compactness, and flexibility, with ALPHA 2.0 being more compact and flexible.

The Synergy of Matrix and Aerogel

Paired together, Matrix and Aerogel form a revolutionary insulation system that is nine times lighter and 30% less bulky than traditional materials. This insulation has a combined weight of only 0.29 oz/ft² (90 g/m²), delivering thermal performance equivalent to that of 2.63 oz/ft² (800 g/m²) of conventional insulation. It provides warmth down to -30°C (-22°F) while effectively preventing overheating in warmer weather. By using Matrix and Aerogel synergistically, Hillman has developed the industry's lightest and most efficient bidirectional insulation.

Blue logo with white text reading FREELOCK and yellow text below saying durable lacing system.

The new FREELOCK® revolutionary lacing system is practically unbreakable thanks to the world's first 1 mm stainless steel laces. The laces are made of stainless steel wire consisting of 49 strands and are practically unbreakable. The steel wire is coated with plastic reinforcement to prevent friction against the shoes, protect your feet, and keep them comfortable. No way can you break it.

While walking, the forces are focused on the multi-point ankle guides to provide superior ankle support. No matter how tightly you lace your boots, the force helps to provide optimal stability as you walk, run, or climb.

The gear ratio is perfectly optimized so you can lace your boots with fewer turns than any currently in the market. It works so smoothly that it is a pleasure to use it every time.
The wire guides are made of durable cold-resistant nylon and wider channels that will make it hard to block the wire if mud is stuck in the guides.

The new technology knob with the highest dragging power and superb durability is engineered by a new technology that is much simpler than other competitive products and has fewer weak points.
If you want superior pleasure when wearing your boots, then you’ll love the FREELOCK® intelligent lacing system. Turn the control knob, and the web of laces tightens automatically and evenly.

You’re going to wish every pair of shoes you own had the FREELOCK® lacing system.
